8th Grade League Championship Schedule

Spooner Red is in the pink pool. They need to arrive by 8:30 am at Court 3 at Owen-Withee HS.

Spooner White is in the black pool. They need to arrive by 7:50 am at Court 1 at Owen-Withee HS.

The first two games are scheduled, the rest will be based on wins/losses. All teams are guaranteed 5 games.

Please know that no carry in food is allowed in the tournaments. Food must be purchased in the concessions.

You only have to pay admission at the 1st location.

Desserts, Taco Meat, and Other Information


Below you will find a schedule of which players/parents are bringing desserts for which tournaments. If you have any questions or issues with this schedule, please let us know via email: spooneryouthvolleyball@gmail.com. Also, you are more than welcome to bring something to a 2nd tournament if you would like. All profits from the concessions go back to the volleyball program. Please label any containers clearly with your name.


April 30th -

Parents & Players invited to help set up - Friday, 4/29. HS 3:15-5:30, MS 5:30-done

Bars, cookies, or puppy chow – ALL 4th and 5th grade families

·         Bring to practice on Thursday, 4/28 or to the HS after 3:15 on Friday, 4/29. You may bag up one brownie, 3 cookies, or a cup of puppy chow per bag if you would like. Otherwise we will have sandwich bags available.

Taco Meat (no dessert) – Alicia Warner, Richard Rhea, Allison Allatt, Candita Flatten

·         Taco meat may be brought to the HS after 3:15 on Friday, 4/29 or by 8:30 on Saturday, 4/30

Concessions working schedule on back. Part of the parents of 4th, 5th, and 8th will be working this weekend, the rest of 4th, 5th, and 8th will work next weekend with 7th grade parents. All of 6th grade parents will work on May 14th.

Concessions and Taco Meat Information

**We are also in need of 4 coolers and 7 crockpots. We would need these by Friday, after 3:15 pm. They could also be brought to practices on Tuesday and Thursday. Mandatory Parent and Player Registration Meeting


Due to an oversight of Parent/Teacher Conferences, we will be changing the Registration meeting for youth volleyball to:

Monday, February 29th at 6:30 pm at the Middle School.

Practices will begin on Tuesday, March 1st at 5:45 pm – 7:15 pm. We will also have practice on Thursday, March 3rd. Locations will be announced on Monday, February 29th.

PS: As a youth board we met last week and made decisions about the season. Since I am no longer the head volleyball coach for  Fall 2016, I am volunteering some time with the spring youth volleyball this spring, but many other parents and coaches will be very involved. Please let me know if you have any questions. Also, if you would like to join the youth volleyball board, please let me know. We can always use more parent involvement. We have also created a youth volleyball email. We will be emailing future announcements from that email: spooneryouthvolleyball@gmail.com
